The Division of Campus Residence offers students the leadership opportunity to help make Opening Weekend for new resident students a welcoming and inviting day.

Welcome Wagon has become a growing tradition and is a part of move in day that many returning students look forward to as a way to interact with new students, contribute to the endless tasks required to make check-in run smoothly and to simply be part of the excitement of the back-to-school spirit.

Benefits of Volunteering with Welcome Wagon:

  • Help new students become acclimated to Stony Brook University.
  • Each selected volunteer will receive a Welcome Wagon t-shirt.
  • Each selected volunteer will be able to check in early to his/her Residence Hall room.

Please note that applicants from buildings Baruch and Eisenhower may not have early access to their rooms due to renovations. Any accepted applicants from these buildings will be notified by 8/5/15 if their rooms will be ready.
