Chapter Awards
Scholastic Chapter of the Year
This award is given to two organizations, one fraternity and one sorority, who have maintained the highest grade point average in the community.
2011 Winners: Alpha Phi Delta & Lambda Theta Alpha
Outstanding Philanthropy Project
This award recognizes one philanthropic project, based on the amount of money donated and the impact the program has on its participants.
2011 Winner: Phi Iota Alpha & Sigma Iota Alpha - America’s Best Dance Crew Round 2
Outstanding Community Service Project
This award recognizes the one community service project, based on the impact that project had on its participants and the benefit to the community.
2011 Winner: Phi Iota Alpha - Esperanza Project
Programming Award
This award recognizes three programs, based on the planning of the program and the impact the program had on attendees.
2011 Winner: Kappa Alpha Psi - Ripping the Korporate Runway
Outstanding Annual Program
This award recognizes one annual program, based on the planning of the event and the impact the program has on the university community.
2011 Winner: Epsilon Sigma Phi – Unity Through Diversity Week
E-Board of the Year
This award is presented to the chapter with the E-board that goes above and beyond their expected duties and works together to substantially improve the quality of their chapter.
2011 Winner: Phi Iota Alpha
Most Improved Chapter Award
This award is given to the chapter that has made significant improvements in Academic Excellence, Member Education, Leadership Development, Chapter Management, and Inter-Fraternal Relations.
2011 Winner: Sigma Beta Rho
Fraternity of the Year & Sorority of the Year
This award recognizes two organizations on excellence in the following areas: Academic Excellence, Member Education, Leadership Development, Chapter Management, and Inter-Fraternal Relations.

Individual Awards
Scholarship Award
This award goes to a member who excels academically and serves as an academic role model for their organization.

Outstanding Leadership Award
This award is presented to one individual who is an active fraternity or sorority member that is committed to the leadership development and enhancement of the Stony Brook campus and fraternity and sorority life.
2011 Winner: Stephanie Montero – Sigma Iota Alpha
New Member of the Year Award
This award is presented two individuals, one sorority member and one fraternity member, initiated in either Spring 2010 or Fall 2010 who has gone above and beyond in their chapter and shows great promise for future leadership.

President of the Year Award
This award is presented to two chapter presidents, one fraternity and one sorority, that have improved their chapter the most during their term in office and acts as a constant role model for those he/she is leading.

Advisor of the Year
This award is given to the advisor that goes above and beyond in supporting their chapter and Fraternity & Sorority life as a whole. This award can be given to either a faculty/staff advisor or a gr

This award is presented to a student who is passionate about positively representing fraternity and sorority life and educating the campus community about the fraternity and sorority community.

Fraternity Man of the Year & Sorority Woman of the Year
This award is given to two individuals, one fraternity man and one sorority woman, who demonstrate leadership in their organization, the Fraternity & Sorority community, and the Stony Brook University community. This person is a role model and has left a lasting impact in Fraternity & Sorority Life.
