CRAFT CENTER TO OFFER CERAMICS PROGRAMMING THROUGH SPRING 2016

The ceramics programming portion of the Craft Center was due to be discontinued at the end of the Fall 2015 semester as a result of the planned closure of the Stony Brook Union for renovation. However, we recently learned that the Stony Brook Union renovation date has been changed and the Union will remain operational for the Spring 2016 semester.

As a result, the Craft Center will continue programming at its current level, including ceramics classes and membership through the spring semester. Non-ceramic arts and leisure programming and classes will continue to be offered at the university in the spring and thereafter.

Spring 2016 Ceramic Courses Are Now Available!

Our mission at the Craft Center is to promote the arts at Stony Brook University. We provide various opportunities for students, faculty and community members to get creative and be a part of the art appreciation that occurs on campus. You do not need to be an artist to be a part of our Craft Center community and sign up for our non-credit courses. We offer a variety of for-pay classes including Bartending, Acting, Digital Photography as well as beginner and intermediate courses in ceramics and a ceramic membership. Also, we have free Craft Nights for students to come, meet others and enjoy themselves while working on some fun art projects. We invite you to come by, sign up for a class, attend a Craft Night and be a part of our Craft Center Community!
