ABOUT THE SAC ART GALLERY

VISION

It is our hope that through the exhibits in the gallery we inform and challenge the broader community and invite dialogue and discourse around issues relevant to our time and the individual. The gallery presents a broad spectrum of work of the highest quality that represents the community as it challenges it to expand and see itself in a constantly new and exciting light. We are open to proposals from all sectors of the population and look forward to continually creating a space that is relevant to the student, faculty and staff of the University as well as the contemporary art world.

MARCIA WIENER

The gallery would like to pay tribute to Marcia E. Wiener whose vision of seventeen years laid the foundation for the Gallery, and the Craft Center. Through her perseverance and vision she consistently offered the community a place to create, explore and experience the joys and challenges of art, craft and wellness. She is no longer working with the gallery on a regular basis but is still present in all of its enterprises as a guiding force and friend. For this we thank her.
