Resident Assistants (RAs) are integral to the development of a well-connected campus community. They utilize a wide variety of skill sets to assist accomplishing our departmental mission of providing “Education Beyond the Classroom”. RAs have the distinct opportunity to develop and enhance leadership abilities while gaining outstanding transferable skills. Resident Assistants work in one of our seven undergraduate quads: Mendelsohn, Roth, Tabler, Kelly, Roosevelt, H and West Apartments.

Most often, Resident Assistants have the greatest visibility in their role as building, quad and campus-wide programmers. They provide residents with a range of educational and social program options specifically designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of our student body.

In addition to creating and supporting excellent programming on campus, RAs are effective administrators, caring mentors, thoughtful academic and personal health resources and fair policy enforcers. RAs enjoy the benefit of bi-annual intensive trainings, monthly paraprofessional development in-services and a variety of other skill enhancing opportunities all intentionally designed with clearly defined student learning outcomes.

The information found within this website will provide important details about the RA expectations and requirements. Should you have additional questions after reviewing the material, feel free to contact us at
