Disability Support Services has created a new way to reach students through an online BLACKBOARD account.
The purpose of our Blackboard community is to post important information regarding campus schedules and deadlines, as well as upcoming DSS groups and events.
The following directions will guide you through the steps to self-enroll in the Disability Support Services Section of Blackboard:

How do I get a Blackboard account?
All currently registered Stony Brook students have a Blackboard user account. If you registered before the first day of classes, and you are enrolled in a course that uses Blackboard, you will see the course when you log into Blackboard.
Visit http://blackboard.stonybrook.edu to access the website. You will need to know your username and password. Your username is the same as your Sparky username ("sparky" is the name of student e-mail accounts at Stony Brook); your password is your Stony Brook ID number (SOLAR number).
If you do not know your sparky username or haven't signed up for a campus account yet, visit a SINC site (Stony Brook Instructional Network Computing) for assistance. Locations include: 080 Stony Brook Union, S1460 Melville Library, 138 Educational Computing Center (ECC), or the HSC Library on Level 3.

How do I log in to Blackboard?
You can access Blackboard from campus, from home, on the road, anywhere! The URL (web address) for Blackboard at Stony Brook is: http://blackboard.stonybrook.edu Type this address into your browser address bar, or for even easier access, add it to "My Favorites" (Explorer) or "Bookmarks" (Firefox). Once you have obtained a Blackboard account, and then follow the instructions above for enrolling in the Disability Support Services section.
